The Damascus billet was a rectangle shape and I formed it into a offset 90° in my 350ton forging press. It Takes real horsepower to bend a huge piece of Super dense Damascus steel the Hard way. I bend it so the grain in the frame follows the grain in the slide then waterfalls down to follow the grain pattern in the grips. Just because I'm kinda into lines of stuff looking organic and not forced.
