★Now the whole world is dancing Samba and chasing balls but my Brasil moment was back in 2001. This is the interview on O Globo paper because my work was used for the exquisite beachwear brand, Totem Praia in Fashion Rio.

Here they say ” Artista Japonesa came to Rio and tells how much she loves with saying “I want to live here” … I guess.
My AMOR with Brasil had been solid for a while since i was into their music. I’ve traveled across the country, then I used to share my picture journals in Japanese magazine as regular contributer, taking Portuguese lessons, to be a bossa nova singer one day is still my dream etc etc …. , and my humble jumble secret story is , I was kidnapped by renowned Brasilian Hip Hop artists at the recording studio in Rio and did crazy MC in Japanese spontaneously for their track !! Anyways, these are the only a few proofs that I am sure I used to be Brasilian in one of my past lives. ?More story on Tumbler 【BRASIL! BRASIL! BRASIL! with the S ! 】yurishimojo.tumblr.com ★ワールドカップにオリンピックと盛り上がっているブラジルですが、ブラジルの大手新聞に、わたし以前、出ちゃったことがあります。ふふふ。 ２００１年、リオのTotem Praiaというとても素敵なビーチウェア・ブランドのファッションショーにわたしの絵が使われたからです。 ”「住みたいほど好き！」というブラジル好きのアーティスタ・ジャポネーザがリオにやってきた” みたいなことが書いてあるらしい。

以前からブラジルの音楽が大好きで、ブラジル各地の旅をかれこれ3回ほどしており、２０００年〜雑誌ソトコトでブラジル絵日記を連載していたことがあったり、NYではポルトガル語習っていたり、いつかボサノバ歌手になりたいという無謀な夢があったり、Rio発の「とある」有名HipHop musicianのレコーディングにいきなり連れ去られMCでナマ参加してしまったり、とにかくわたしは前世ブラジル人だったと確信しているほどあのアモーレな国とご縁があるのです。 ?Tumblerのエッセイ【BRASIL!
