#20daysofmovement day 16 - vrksasana (tree pose)
with left foot evenly weighted and firmly rooted into ground, inhale and lengthen spine as you raise right foot to inner calf or upper thigh (avoid placing foot on knee of standing leg). pick a point of focus in front of you. as you root right foot into calf or thigh, keep muscles of standing leg engaged by drawing energy up from arch of left foot to pelvis. root the tail bone down and keep hips and shoulders level and square with ground. bring hands to prayer first, then raise fingertips to sky, hold for 5 breaths and repeat second side.
