@marcusbleasdale Imanairakiza Amahord with Asifiwe, her child of 18 months at an #MSF (Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders) mobile clinic in Kibabi, Democratic Republic of Congo. Asifiwe is severely #malnourished after weeks spent fleeing the fightings and needs urgent treatment. MSF goes to Kibabi every week or two weeks when security allows, to distribute medical supplies to those needing it. When there are serious health cases they are transferred to the main hospital supported by MSF in Masisi. In this area where the geographical and security access is very difficult, MSF provides a free package of primary and secondary healthcare in the main hospital in Masisi and in the surrounding health centers. MSF also runs other mobile clinics, in the area, in response to the changing needs. In 2012, #MSF treated nearly 600 malnourished children in the area.
