Photo by @daveyoder - A father kisses his son during a stop to visit camels on their way across the desert from Saudi Arabia, bound for a camel beauty contest in Abu Dhabi. They are members of the bedouin Al Mazrouei tribe of western Abu Dhabi, and are very proud of their camels. These camels were surprisingly curious and affectionate toward people, to the point it was difficult to take pictures, as they'd constantly try to nuzzle with me or taste the camera. They behaved as though they thought they were giant house cats. Shot on assignment for a story in the April issue of @natgeotraveller. @thephotosociety #abudhabi #camels #desert #latergram
