ADOPTABLE: North Star, Rottweiler (7 y/o), Fort Greene Park, Brooklyn, NY • “We rescued her two or three months ago. She showed up at the shelter and we called the number on her microchip – the guy said he was a truck driver and couldn’t take her on the road, so he relinquished her to us. She has a lot of nicknames – I call her Northie, Northina, North Anne. Whenever I start petting her, she’ll go on her back for a belly rub. If there are sirens going by, she will howl along with them. She likes to lay around all day. She also likes walks and gets bursts of energy wanting to play, but that lasts about five minutes. She’s mostly a couch potato. She’s a great dog – if you’re a Rottie lover, you’ll love her, if you’re not a Rottie lover, you’ll soon be one after meeting her.”
