Time may be running out for the federally endangered Bartram’s scrub-hairstreak butterfly. The land it depends on for survival, right next door to @zoomiami, is threatened by a proposed waterpark. If the December 12th vote for the Miami Wilds Waterpark passes, many species in the Pine Rocklands habitat could disappear from our world, as no other nearby landscape can sustain them.
