Airline carriers want to replace jet fuel with ethanol to fight global warming. That would require lots of corn, and lots of water. Max Bearak traveled to western Minnesota and Dionne Searcey traveled to her native Nebraska to report this story. They talked to farmers to understand why the ethanol industry, and the prices it has paid them for the corn they grow, has led them to make certain decisions related to how they farm.
