Georgia Totto O'Keeffe was born #onthisday in 1887. O’Keeffee was a prolific American painter and draftswoman whose career spanned seven decades. Often called the "Mother of American modernism", she gained international recognition for her meticulous natural forms, particularly flowers and desert landscapes, which were drawn from environments in which she lived and loved.
