She is both my partner at the @themarchharenyc and the person who nominated me to join the board of CASA NYC. I met her because when I was a new mom at Mazzy’s old school back in 2016, she found out I had just published a parenting book and helped put together a book reading attended by other moms at the school to celebrate the launch. It’s so funny to think about who those moms at the party were because I knew no one at the time and so many have become my friends over the years. Anyway, Karen and I have been trying to take a photo together in front of the shop since we bought the place, but the shop is a one person operation and we have never worked there at the same time! We work together behind the scenes all the time though, like right now we are planning promotions and events at the shop that support our favorite non-profits.
