I need to see how my regular partners, Gansai Japanese watercolors from #京都彩雲堂　and Jason Logan’s living ink @torontoinkcompany would collaborate with different types of Japanese papers by dancing and breathing on/in them. I usually work on much heavier #washi I can find from @hiromipaper in LA , but I need to work on thinner ones for this project, yet all have strong characteristics by incredible craftsmanship. I'm so lucky to hop on my bike and can get any dream papers from @kamiji_kakimoto On top of it, working under the humidity of the mountain in Kyoto, I feel like painting in the water... Definitely different from my studio in the East Village! I will have a small show at @farmoon_kyoto of my dear Masayo @masayofunakoshi from mid-October.
