It was a million degrees outside in Atlanta today, so we decided to go on a family walk 🙄 Bad idea. After 10 minutes, we had to leave because Tuna was too hot. I walked through a market to exit, holding Tuna in my arms, and this incredible mother/daughter duo noticed Tuna was overheating, so they sprung into action to get him hydrated and cooled down by providing water, a cooling mat, and shade under their table. Their booth was dog-related so they were equipped to help him, but they went above and beyond! BLESS THEM! 😍 They didn’t help because it’s Tuna (I didn’t tell them his story)- they did it because of their love for dogs, and they are just lovely and kind-hearted folks. I did asked them their story- the mother is a breast cancer survivor and devoted to supporting her daughters’ passions, and her older daughter, Bee, changed careers to make a difference in the animal community, and her other daughter bakes the treats. I fell in love with this pair and wanted to share @beesbarkbar_1 with you in case you wanted to support them too. They offer delicious, homemade dog treats, developed a fun line of pet products, and they are a woman-run, #blackownedsmallbusiness. I love how God puts people in our lives who end up being unexpected gifts to us by their simple acts of kindness. So grateful for their help today. Ps: Tuna was ok! My description of the scene sounded a little over dramatic but I was concerned about him in the heat.
