Vulnerable life update. Lately I have been feeling how Tuna looks in this photo. Slumpy. Some of these slumpy feelings are related to frustrations with my ADHD, dyslexia, and poor gut health. Returning to interior design and transitioning more full-time with our two children has been a lot too, so I’ve taken a significant pause from social media with the purpose to be more present with my precious family, my work, and to focus on my mental and physical health. Instagram has become my business over the years so I feel the pressure to continue to show up but it’s also been my greatest distraction and my dopamine hit. Sometimes that’s all it is to me these days which breaks my heart. I feel like I’ve lost sight of why I began to post in the first place, which is to bring you joy and laughter, and in the process, I’ve lost some of my joy. I’m not sharing this post to play my tiny violin for you all but rather to say thank you in advance for your patience, grace, and support as I navigate through this slump. Even though it’s been a hard season, I am extremely grateful for all that I have and have been given- you all included. If you’re here now, or have been here before, I see you and I feel for you. Hopefully by sharing this, you will not feel so alone in your slump because now that you know where I’m at, I don’t feel so alone either.
