We chose to take a chance on it even if I didn’t know exactly what I was doing. We an offered a few classes and the community came through! I was in awe, classes would fill up, people were some times even dancing on the sidewalk. There was only one door so transitions between classes were a bit messy, music and noise complaints often got us in trouble with the neighbors that year but regardless, I knew we just might be on to something. I remember often waking up to music blasting in the morning from someone using the space, a unique way to get up early but I was just happy people were there for its intended use. Everything was a little rough around the edges but it worked.
