To observe Juneteenth, all Patagonia’s U.S.-based stores will be closed on Monday, June 19, 2023.

Juneteenth celebrates the end of slavery in America. When it became a federal holiday in 2021, Representative Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas had this to say, “I think Juneteenth tells a wonderful story. It’s a story of freedom. It happened two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, but it still set a pathway of freedom. Who are we as a nation, if you’re frightened about freedom and liberation and joy?”
