Ramón Navarro is the son of a fisherman and has watched the commercial fishing industry exploit his home waters until the fish stopped biting.

In Chilean Patagonia, the salmon industry is creeping deeper into the Kawéskar’s territory, leaving polluted waters and a depleted, diseased salmon population in its wake.

In “Corazón Salado,” he joins Leticia Caro and her father in a fight to protect the Kawésqar’s ancestral waters for good.
