The surf ranch is a different kind of beast that serves up a plate of nerves and pressure so unlike the ocean. You’d think with less variables it would be easier to find peace but with limited opportunity, everyone watching so closely, all the sounds, scores being announced and the weight of “the perfect wave” can feel heavy. Grateful to my amazing support crew in the lead up to prepare, my pit crew with me on the ground, all the Aloha from family, friends, fans and whoever put those feel good Hawaiian jams on while I was in the pool to remind me to smile and most of all have fun 🥰🙏🏼 It takes a village.
