『ライ麦畑でつかまえて』はJ・D・サリンジャーによる長編小説。『危険な年齢』というタイトルでも知られるこの作品は、高校を放校となった17歳の少年がクリスマス前のニューヨークの街をめぐる物語です。口語的な文体で社会の欺瞞に対し鬱屈を投げかける内容は時代を超えて読者に伝わり、私はすぐに夏目漱石の『坊ちゃん』の天才的な文体を連想しました。クラシック文学は普遍的で、作家の文章は言語や国境を超えて似ているようなスタイルがあります。アメリカ文学を初めて読みたい方に強くおすすめします🧢🌾 Boy I love this novel. How could Salinger write more than half a century ago such a humorous and contemporary prose. In some way it reminds me of American Psycho (80s), its fast and sharp, although this one is much more quiet.
