After running them into someone’s yard (after stopping traffic), I spent about 30 min gaining their trust to get them in my truck. I didn’t have my portable microchip scanner with me so I took them to the local humane society in Gainesville, GA. @humanesocietynega Thankfully, both dogs were chipped and the information was up to date. The owner was contacted, they were reunited, and are back home safe!! 😺😺 Here’s the PSA - PLEASE microchip your pets! It’s the size of a grain of rice, cheap, and can be done at any time. It could be the difference of whether or not your pet is reunited with you should they accidentally get out. These two took advantage of the saturated grounds here and dug under the fence. Their owner spent the day reinforcing the bottom of the fence with concrete so hopefully they won’t get out again. My truck badly needs an interior detail (Georgia clay all over lol) but it was well worth it for this happy ending!
