In what feels like a bygone era, Russian and Ukrainian families jointly gathered near Sevastopol in 2010 to commemorate the May 7th, 1944 liberation of the city from two years of German occupation.

This outtake from a 2012 NatGeo story on Crimea made it into the stunning Czech magazine FOTO’s most recently published issue, FOTO 44. The 14-page story about my work in the former Soviet Union is titled Kronika Východu (Chronicles of the East).
