I was born in Long Beach, lived there til I was 3 then grew up in Brussels, Düsseldorf, Hiroshima, Madrid and Bonn. At this point I was 16 and left home and embarked on my own journey and moved to Kobe, Tokyo, London, Tokyo, Singapore, Berlin, Tokyo, Berlin and finally to LA - 10 days pre pandemic. I grew up speaking German and Japanese and Spanish and eventually learned English and then French. I cant say which is my best language now because their level always fluctuates depending on my surroundings and they’re all not particularly great ha It’s quite complicated to explain all of this to people I meet. So I often don’t. I stopped bothering because I notice people can’t and don’t want to absorb this much info. I say that I’m from Berlin, or Tokyo, depending on my mood, and who I am talking to because these are the two most recent cities I spent most of my time in, even though it’s not quite the truth. I’m ok with people having false assumptions and feel no urge to want to explain unless there is interest. My main job is modeling. Even though I don’t really identify myself as this. I’ve been a model for 19 years now. This surprises many people who think I’m new here so I’m just starting. My career has had many phases and I put modeling on hold multiple times to do other things. Its really exciting to be meeting so many new people recently but most of them don’t know half of this and I’m trying to find an efficient and non boring way to introduce myself. It’s really hard because I’ve never felt so different from everyone else😆 I know this is a good thing but sometimes I wish I had a straight forward answer to…. anything really!
