YeYeさんのインスタグラム写真 - (YeYeInstagram)「(English below) みなさまこんばんは。本日7/7水曜日、七夕、割と大雨の日、YeYeのミニアルバム「おとな」がリリースとなりました。昔に比べたらこんなにも潔くぽんぽんと曲を書き、リリースできていることがとても不思議ではありますが、今、最初のアルバムをリリースさせてもらったときくらい初心の気持ちで音楽を心から楽しんでいます。だけど12年前と違うところは、変な若気の至りこだわり（こんな日本語あったっけ、ハライチのイントネーションで読んでください）をほどよく削ぎ落とせるようになったことと、本当の意味で「仲間」と協力して、違おうが違わなかろうが、それさえも楽しめるようになっているところです。末っ子だったのもあって、ずっと小さいときから大人になりたくて、10代の頃にはひたすら30代に憧れ、気が付けば今年で32歳になる年になっていました。おそらくいろんなおとなの方々は、歳を重ねるにつれて、（あれ、おもてたんとちゃう）というような、そんな経験が少なからずあると思うのですが、もうだってさ、そもそも誰にもあなたを決めつけるようなことがあってはならないし、誰も大人であることの正解など知らない、自分を許して、自分なりの尺度で、自分が思う「おとな」になれたら、世の中少しは変わるのかもしれないですね、って彦星が言うてたわ、知らんけど！なんていうかそういうアルバムです。大人やからって、おあとがよろしくできないときがあったっていいでしょう。アルバムに携わって下さった全ての方々、そしてリスナーのみなさまに感謝を込めて。　 ---------- It's Wednesday, July 7th. It’s raining more than expected. YeYe's new mini album "Otona" (adult) is out today. It’s strange that I constantly write songs and make records one by one, compared to when I was younger. I enjoy being a musician in the true sense now. There are things about me that are different now which prove that I’ve grown. I stopped being fussy about all of the details involved with creating music, and started to count on colleagues in a good way. This world has many types of Otona. I was born the youngest child in my family and it made me feel I should grow up ASAP, otherwise I might not achieve everything they have. Maybe most people are forced by society to grow up too soon and experience things that make them uncomfortable. I’d love to say to the world that no one can judge you for who you are. No one knows what being ‘Otona’ means. Forgive yourself. Use the skills you have. Your life might become brighter if you learn to deal with these things. That’s what it is in a nutshell. I’d rather forgive myself even if the conclusion does not sit right with me. I'm deeply grateful for the people involved in creating this album, and the people who are curious about YeYe.
