Photo by @shonephoto Robbie Shone / The beautiful blue ice formations in Eisriesenwelt cave near Salzburg, Austria are always a pleasure to photograph. “The Castle” formation shown here is one of my favourites. It’s fun to weave yourself through the windy interior of this formation a bit like exploring a castle, but for me I enjoy lighting it up and seeing the different blues sparkle in the ice. Documenting these formations is important as they are under threat from warming climates. Shot for “End of the Ice Caves” @ナショナルジオグラフィック magazine.
