Cali native, Colorado living. @phil_henderson’s love for the outdoors has helped educate countless students over his 20-year tenure with @nolsedu, The National Outdoor Leadership School. From whitewater kayaking to canoeing to rafting, to backpacking, backcountry skiing and rock climbing—he’s led instructional trips around the globe.  

Because his passion for outdoor recreation knows no limits, Phil has volunteered for several youth programs, sharing his expertise with guides, porters, rescue rangers and college students in Kenya, Tanzania and Chile. He’s even done extensive work with the Alex Lowe Charitable Foundation (ALCF) and the Khumbu Climbing Centre (KCC) in Nepal, training Nepali trekking and high-altitude mountain guides.
