「リンゴちゃんのいえで」

物語を書いていると、時々、物語の主人公が勝手に動き始めることがあります。
そうなると私は、その動きや、お喋りを書き留めるのが仕事。通訳みたいな感じになります。

困った事に、みんながみんな動いてくれたり、お喋りをしてくれる訳ではありません。この子はきっとお喋りさんに違いない！って思っていても全く話してくれなかったり。逆に突然ペラペラ話し始めたり。
お話作りは驚きの連続です。

リンゴちゃんは、最初から、とってもお喋りな子でした。勝手に走り出して、毎回、私はペンを持って追いかけながら、なになに？ 何をしたいの？ 何を話したいの？ と、追いかけています。

“Ringo-chan’s Runaway”

In writing a story, sometimes the main character begins to move freely.
Then my work is just to write down his/her move and talk.  It’s like an interpreter.

The point is not everyone begins to move or talk for me.  This character must be talkative…! Despite of these feelings, he/she doesn’t talk at all : sometimes it happens.  Or to the contrary, he/she keeps talking endlessly.  
Thus, writing is full of surprises.

As for Ringo-chan, she is really talkative from the very beginning.  She got running without asking me, and I run after her with my pen:  "Hey!  What would you like to do?  What would you like to talk?”
