On the day opening the presents
You might be in the middle of opening Christmas presents! I used to feel guilty putting into the trash can all the papers that were wrapping the presents 5 minutes ago. Japanese has a culture of wrapping the gift with Furoshiki cloth that is said to represent also wrapping “love” to and from the gift giver and the gift taker. From a sustainable point of view, Furoshiki is coming to be recognized internationally, especially in Europe. You can wrap not only the boxes, bottle of wines, and many odd shape things. And they look beautiful.
