Photo by @nataliekeyssar / A man became agitated and started yelling when the polls opened late in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, today. He complained, saying everyone had jobs to go to and kids at home. Eventually the constable came out to try to calm him down, which resulted in a short argument. Many voters in the line said they shared the man’s frustration.

Voters lined up before 7 a.m. on Election Day at Wilkes-Barre's Toyota SportsPlex located at 38 Coal Street, a nod to the industry that once drove this region. Most people waited quietly as the polls opened a bit late on the frigid morning, although a few voters complained of the delays and others of their original polling places being closed without warning. Wilkes-Barre is a contested city in Luzerne County, an important swing county in Pennsylvania.
