☕ Time for a spot of tea ☕
This elegant Japanese teapot dates to the late 17th century, and was likely made for export to Europe. The new fashion of tea-drinking meant that much of the porcelain imported to Europe during this time was associated with tea, which was becoming cheaper and more accessible.
It proved to be a popular design. Later, copies of teapots like this were also made in China.
