Photo by @paoloverzone / Some 166 million years ago in what is now Oxfordshire, in the U.K., the ground trembled with the footfalls of the first dinosaur to be scientifically described: Megalosaurus. When sculpted for London's Crystal Palace Park in the 1850s, artists took cues from large lizards. Nearly two centuries later, paleontologists now have a far clearer view of the animal's true anatomy. Follow @paoloverzone for more photos and stories.
