SWEET AS HONEY. I always keep my kitchen stocked with delicious honey from @flamingo_estate as I use it as an everyday natural sweetener. I was curious to know how it was made, so I visited my close friend Richard Christiansen whose bees work hard in his garden and orchard — Richard is the owner of the @flamingo_estate and founder of @chandeliercreative and @owlbureau. Putting on the full beekeeper’s suit, interacting with the hive, and harvesting the honey myself was such a fun way to learn all about apiculture. The wild abundance of plants at Flamingo Estate makes the honey so nutritious and flavorful. As well as the honey bees, the lush gardens surrounding this iconic pink Estate – recently renovated by @studioko in Paris – are now planted with over 150 botanical species and offer a home to hummingbirds, owls and butterflies. A true oasis in the city. XK
