Continuing the monthly focus on our ever-growing collection of art and design housed at our global stores, we put the spotlight on artist Caragh Thuring.
Thuring uses the traditional medium of painting to engage with the flow of images that mediate our relationship to the contemporary world. A careful balance between unprimed canvas and painted details keeps the viewer engaged in the painting's artifice that Thuring enjoys mining as a subject in itself.
'Done up like a fish supper' is currently housed at CASA LOEWE London, created from a body of work where Thuring explores Ardyn Point in Scotland; a once active site in the oil industry.
