In 1957, Elsa Schiaparelli launched her fragrance “Si”, a chianti bottle shaped perfume adorned with red wax and golden details. To accompany the fragrance’s release, Schiaparelli commissioned the song “La Valse de Si.” Performed by the elegant Juliette Greco, its lyrics an ode to optimism and also a reference to the seventh note of the musical scale. Greco went on to become an icon of French music, working with Serge Gainsbourg, Jacques Prevert, and more. Today we celebrate the elegant life and remarkable work of Juliette Greco, and remember her timeless contribution to Maison Schiaparelli.
