Photo by @giles_price We find ourselves unexpectedly living in an age when body temperature has assumed a new set of implications: we’re all potential carriers and spreaders of COVID-19. As part of a conceptual series of images shot on assignment during the pandemic, I’ve used a thermal camera to examine what daily life looks like with current restrictions placed on ordinary events and new routines becoming our everyday. Here, a participant in the Oxford University COVID-19 vaccine trial has her blood taken by a member of staff from the Vaccine Institute, St George’s, University of London and St George’s University Hospitals NHS Trust. Although there’s a long way to go, early results from the initial phases of the trial are extremely promising. To view more of my work, please follow me at @giles_price.
