世界的な芸術家のクリストが他界しました。ヒーローでした。ベルリンの国会議事堂、パリのポンヌフ、フロリダの島々などをラッピングし、茨城とカリフォルニアに無数の巨大の傘を奥様のジャン=クロードと飾ったクリスト。このプロジェクトの日本側のディレクターが僕の父のヘンリーであり、クリストは僕のゴッドファーザーでした。僕が1985年1月20日に生まれた日にクリストとジャンヌ=クロードが作ってくださったネックレスは宝です。そして将来のプロジェクトのスケッチを1992年の来日の時書いてくれました。次はパリの凱旋門を包む予定だったのに...悲しい、ただただ悲しい。

本当にかっこよかった

Today, we have lost an incredible soul. Christo made the impossible possible. He was an artist with a passion for life and for art which crossed incredible boundaries and which rewrote history. A worldly figure but he was also a fabulous Godfather who was Henry, my dad's dear friend. A friendship which became one of the driving forces of The Umbrellas in 1991. His next project would have been the wrapping up of L'Arc de Triomphe.

God bless you Christo. May you create the impossible up in the heavens with Jeanne. It's so sad though. so sad.
