My childhood came back to me with her strong handwriting on the box. She enjoyed seasonal cultural traditions with aesthetics. Particularly she liked to celebrate Girls Day, a day to wish health and success of girls. It’s for girls, and March was always a special month for us - our birthday month, my father’s anniversary month and of course it’s spring time ! ・ I appreciate my mother had nurtured me to enjoy girlhood as I grew up. Sometimes it was too much though. I grew up in that contradiction. It’d be an interesting mystery to work on. Last photo was taken around that time. 1993 I was 27 years old. ・・２７年ぶりに小さなお雛様のお飾りの箱を開けてみた。１９９３年に亡くなる少し前に母がいつの日かわたしが飾れるように、注意深く包んでくれてあった。東京から京都へと移動した「実家」(遺品倉庫) に長いあいだ眠っていたがNYのお家に持ってきてはじめて飾る。母の強い文字が懐かしく、子供の頃の記憶に戻れた。・季節の行事と家のお飾りが好きな母だったが、お雛さまは特別に楽しんでいた。女の子のお祭りだし、3月はわたしと母の誕生月だし( 父の命日も) 、なんといっても春の到来だし。お花の香りや、きれいな色や、女の子らしさと夢、フェミニニティのようなものをすごく養ってくれたと思う。少女の世界がtoo much の時も多かった。わたしはその矛盾の中で育ったと思う。そのミステリーは掘り下げてみたいテーマではあります。最後の写真はその頃(１９９３年　27歳)。　#ちいさならくがき・・ #お雛様　#雛祭り #桃の節句 #扇子飾り　#Hinamatsuri #GirlsDay #Girlhood #少女性 #my9thsanctuary」3月4日 8時10分
