Kambale's wife was a nurse and contracted Ebola at the hospital where she worked. He cared for her, and days after her funeral he fell ill. “I was so worried about my children,” he told me. “Their mother had just died, and if I died too, I didn't know what would happen to them.” Thankfully Kambale survived, and now works at the Ebola Treatment Center to "help other patients get healthy like me, and to push the Ebola epidemic from Congo."
