Rolling into the weekend like … 🛹 🤸‍♀️ Patti McGee, one of the first professional women’s skateboarders, does a *handstand* on a *skateboard* on this Life magazine cover.
McGee was the first female to win the National Skateboard Championships in 1964. In 1965, she became the first female pro skateboarder. She was also the only woman to be featured on a skateboard magazine cover when she appeared on the May 1965 issue of Skateboarder Magazine. Patti was a worldwide ambassador for the skateboarding world in the 1960s.
