The next time you pull up to a McDonald’s drive thru, it might look a little different.
McDonald’s has agreed to buy Dynamic Yield, a tech company that specializes in personalization and decision logic technology. This tech will allow McDonald’s to customize its drive-thru experience, changing its digital menus in real-time based on different factors, like the weather or current restaurant traffic.
McDonald’s spent more than $300 million to buy the Israeli tech company, making this the fast food chain’s largest deal in 2 decades, people familiar with the matter said.
McDonald’s has already tested these futuristic menus at several U.S. locations and plans to expand to more locations this year.
