The SG Club Now Serves Curry! An 1860 journey carried the first Japanese to be sent to the US, including a man by the name of Yukichi Fukuzawa. Fukuzawa was a dedicated academic and a celebrated author. You can find him on the front of the ¥10,000 bill. Less known is that he was the first to introduce the word "curry" into the Japanese lexicon! It was a translation of the English dictionary he obtained while traveling through San Francisco. Our curry takes inspiration from the imagination this mysterious dish must have conjured in Japan during the 1860s. Served from noon until 6pm.
