Venice has been dealing with worse than usual flooding due to climate change and rising sea levels. At the end of October, water levels in Venice were just over five feet, one of the highest marks ever recored. Pictured is Piazza San Marco during Acqua Alta in 1993, when the water was only ankle deep.
