Photo by @shonephoto (Robbie Shone) // Having overcome sea sickness, Gina and I began to enjoy our time on deck whilst crossing the Greenland Sea. While everyone else lay fast asleep, I was tasked with checking the ice breaker and seeing that it was still securely fastened to the bow of the boat. This involved leaning right over the side to check the shackles. A job I could not have done a day earlier, when I was leaning over for another reason! While under sail, the boat soared along at a rate of 6-8 knots. As part of a climate scientific expedition, this was a really satisfying experience and reassured me we had chosen the right form of transport to take us to Greenland. @greenland_caves #EAGRE18
