Point Reyes is a National Seashore just an hour north of San Francisco. We were drawn there by the rumors of sea cliff hikes through fields of wildflowers. We'd heard that elk roam the coast freely, and that hundreds of different shorebirds fly overhead along their migratory routes. It was all true.
We started out hiking a 10 mile trail on Tomales Point (which is the northern tip of Point Reyes). Wildflowers were as abundant as the sunshine. We ran into a crew of 8 nurses ALL WEARING KEENS and became fast friends - a perfect way to wrap up day one." ?:@ajwells
