Photographer Laura Aguilar (1959-2018) turned the camera on herself to explore themes of body image, Latinx identity and queer identity. She also often captured Chicanx/Latinx LGBT communities in her photography. Her work was recently on view at LACMA in "Home—So Different, So Appealing."
