"I can see what I want to paint. The thing that makes you want to create is still there."—Georgia O'Keeffe
...
O’Keeffe painted “From a Day with Juan II” (1977) when she was 90 years old while suffering from failing eyesight due to macular degeneration, making her the oldest artist on view in #TheLongRunMoMA, our exhibition spotlighting late career works. CEMS assistant Margot Yale shares how this work challenged her expectations of one of her favorite artists, and ultimately became a symbol of O’Keeffe’s tenacity.

This January marked one year of #ArtSpeaks—days of community and conversation in the galleries led by Museum staff. Watch full gallery talks on our Facebook page!
