国立アメリカ歴史博物館のインスタグラム(amhistorymuseum) - 1月30日 20時30分

Japanese American children held in the Poston incarceration camp during World War II created this quilt in a sewing class. Isolated in the Arizona desert, Japanese American prisoners organized classes to foster community and to provide both practical skills and recreation. For this project, students drew on the traditions of autograph and album quilts. Interested in learning more about Japanese American incarceration during World War II?
