Photo by @Cristina Mittermeier // This is how I like to think of sharks; not frightening and threatening, but poetic and mysterious. I get that we don’t all have to love sharks, but at the very least we should be intrigued by the important role they play in maintaining the diversity and stability of our oceans and we should respect them as living creatures. An estimated 100 million sharks are killed by humans every year; that is not the sign of an enlightened society. We must do better!
