75 years ago today: A Japanese Torpedo struck the heavy cruiser USS Pensacola off the coast of Guadalcanal. Clarence J. Tibado, a 22-year-old radarman survived the battle but found he just had to put the experience on canvas. This is one of two of his World War II paintings in our collection.
