Marking the 50th anniversary of the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb, our 1972 exhibition attracted 1.6 million visitors, including Her Majesty the Queen! Here’s a shot of the long queue that formed outside the Museum. The exhibition displayed objects from the tomb, and the gold funerary mask was the star of the show.
