There are several means of access to Arashiyama from the city, among them you can enjoy the old-fashioned atmosphere of Keifuku Electric Railway Arashiyama Line that supports the lives of people in the Arashiyama neighborhood and well known as Randen. At the Arashiyama Randen Station, you can enjoy Kyoto’s traditional crafts “Kyoyuzen” (Kyoto printed silk) and lights collaboration for free♪ Yuzen’s light forest called “Kimono Forest” is a handicraft in which Kyoyuzen is encased in acrylic, shaped into a pole, and placed in the station premises and on the side of the railway route. During the day you can enjoy the unique vibrant colors and patterns of Kyoyuzen, while during the night, the lights that has been set inside the poles will lit up and cover the surroundings in a magical light and atmosphere.
