For those of us who live/lived in the Pacific Northwest, the Columbia River Gorge was our playground for outdoor fun. Hiking, biking, running trails ect. It is a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
I moved away from the area in 2013 and ended up in the mountainous state of Colorado. After hearing about the Eagle Creek Fire I went back through my archives to see that images I might have to share with the rest of the world and found this one.
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest was a blessing and let my love for nature grow and allowed me to hone my career as a professional fine art landscape photographer. While this image was captured back in 2011 not much has changed for me.
